Controller and contact
Knoten7 Digital GmbH, Königsallee 27, 40212 Düsseldorf, Germany, is the controller for our processing of your personal data. For privacy enquiries and rights requests: contact@knoten7.de.
Visiting this website
This website is hosted on OpenAI’s ChatGPT Sites platform. It processes IP addresses, access times, requested pages and browser and device information for delivery and security. The platform also provides summary visitor and page-view statistics. We may use these to assess reach without combining them with contact enquiries.
Our website provision and use of these statistics are based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR: our legitimate interest in operating and improving a reliable, secure business website.
Knoten7 adds no cookies or advertising trackers. For platform cookies and any required sign-in, see OpenAI’s cookie policy.
Email and telephone enquiries
We process your contact details, message and any company or project information you provide to respond to enquiries and prepare proposals. Providing details is voluntary; we need enough information to handle your enquiry.
The legal bases are Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for enquiries concerning a contract with you and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for other business enquiries, including communication with company representatives. Our legitimate interest is handling those enquiries. Statutory retention is based on Article 6(1)(c) GDPR. We use Google Workspace for business email.
Providers and international processing
Our hosting, email and telecommunications providers and their technical service providers receive data as needed to provide their services. OpenAI and Google may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States.
According to their terms, transfers rely on adequacy decisions or EU Standard Contractual Clauses, as applicable. Details on processing and obtaining the safeguards are available in OpenAI’s privacy policy and Google’s data processing terms. You can also request this information through our contact above.
Retention
We keep enquiries as long as needed to handle them and any resulting engagement. We then delete the data unless statutory duties or establishing, exercising or defending legal claims require continued storage. The applicable retention and limitation periods govern that storage.
OpenAI retains platform data according to the service, security and legal requirements described in its linked privacy policy.
Your rights
Subject to the legal conditions, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing and data portability. Where processing relies on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Right to object: You may object to processing based on our legitimate interests for reasons relating to your particular situation.
You may also complain to a data protection authority, including the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information North Rhine-Westphalia (LDI NRW).
